AudioPile is a socially-interactive, sound-based game. In the form of a giant mat, players must collaborate to press circles on the mat with their hands and feet that will produce sounds of different tones, pitches, and instruments. Underneath each circle, a cushioned button is wired to an Arduino board that is programmed in Processing. The input from the buttons pressed will result in computerized sound as an output through speakers.
In terms of the gameplay, players will have to work together to create compositions. The programming of the game will be designed to alert the players whether they have mimicked the composition successfully or not.
In collaboration with Burton Carter, Yoko Ishioka, and Kristina Makarova.
